1. Purpose and Scope
These cancellation and refund terms apply to all advancepurchase tickets with Fjord1.
Travel documentation must be printed from the internet or email, or shown on a mobile phone. It must be presented at boarding or during the crossing.
The terms apply to both:
• Passengers
• Vehicles
2. Cancellation Deadlines
2.1 Standard ticket cancellation
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure.
2.2 Cancellation of vehicle reservation (car deck space)
For routes where capacity and deck allocation are critical:
• Deadline for free cancellation: 48 hours before departure
3. Refund Rules
3.1 Full refund in case of operator error
The customer is entitled to a full refund if the departure is:
• Cancelled by the operator
4. Failure to Meet / Late Arrival
• Checkin deadline is 30 minutes before departure for vehicles and 15 minutes for passengers.
• Customers who do not arrive in time are considered a “noshow” and are not entitled to a refund.
Tour operators will be invoiced for the number of bookings made through the booking system.
5. Extraordinary Circumstances
No compensation is given for losses resulting from:
• Weather conditions that make transport unsafe (exemption according to EU 1177/2010)
• Official orders, port closures, strikes by third parties
• Natural events, sabotage, or securityrelated measures
However, the customer will receive a full refund if the departure must be cancelled due to such events.
6. Processing of Refunds
• Refunds are issued after cancellation in the booking system. Payment will normally be processed within 2–3 business days. Please have your booking information ready.
