How much does it cost?
Ferry fares depend on your route, as well as your origin and destination. You can check Ferry ticket prices here
Is my payment information safe?
Fjord1 does not collect or have access to your credit card. FerryPay is a solution owned by The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, so your information is safe. You can find more information about data collection and data security here, under “Privacy policy”.
Can I pay onboard?
Customers driving a Norwegian vehicle, who do not have a ferry agreement, will receive an invoice with a fee of NOK 35. During the summer, foreign vehicles without an agreement will be able to pay manually using a credit card. Manual payment solutions will vary depending on the ferry connection.
To avoid the stress of paying manually, we recommend that all passengers enter into a ferry agreement, get a tag or sign up for FerryPay.
Foreign customers without an agreement risk being unable to board their desired departure because paying manually takes longer than paying by agreement.
What payment alternative do I have?
Most Ferry journeys in Norway are paid through AutoPASS, the automated system for collection of road and ferry tolls. If you do not have an agreement, you can easily pay for your ferry journeys through FerryPay.
I am renting a car. What can I do?
You can add a time limit to your FerryPay account, so you just pay while you are using the vehicle.
Do I pay per person or vehicle?
People travel for free, you just pay for the vehicle.
When should I register my account?
You can register it in advance of your ferry journey or up to 48h after completing your journey.
Can I pause/cancel my account?
Yes, you can deactivate your account whenever you want.
Can I register multiple vehicles?
Yes, you can have multiple registered vehicles under your account.
What happens if I do not register my account?
If you do not have a FerryPay account, you will be sent an invoice with an additional invoice fee.
Do I get a discount through FerryPay?
You do not get any discount through FerryPay. You can get a 40-50% discount if you sign up for a prepayment agreement through AutoPASS. Read more about the AutoPASS agreement here
