The Sognefjord is the longest and most beautiful fjord in the world. Join Fjord1 on a memorable journey from Strandkaiterminalen i Bergen through one of the most beautiful landscapes Norway has to offer – to the charming village of Flåm, nestled at the innermost end of the fjord arm.
Every day from 1 April to 31 October, you can join a beautiful boat trip amongst towering mountain peaks and deep fjords.
The Sognefjord is, quite rightly, known as the ‘King of the Fjords’. Steep mountainsides, mighty waterfalls and idyllic villages make this an experience you’ll never forget. Travel in comfort on our modern express boats and discover the fjord.
The trip starts at the Strandkai Terminal in Bergen city centre. First, the journey takes you through beautiful coastal scenery with narrow sounds and a myriad of islands. After about two hours, the boat sets course into the Sognefjord.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the Jostedal Glacier, small farmsteads on high mountain ledges and the narrow Aurlandsfjord, which in places is just two kilometres wide.
You can enjoy the 5.5-hour journey between Bergen and Flåm from comfortable seats in the saloon or out on deck, close to nature and the views.
In the on-board kiosk, you’ll find a good selection of food and drink, ranging from the popular Fjord1 pancake for breakfast to lunch dishes, coffee and refreshments.
