Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous fjords in the world, and is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. After all, Geirangerfjord is where you find the mighty waterfalls, "the Seven Sisters", "the Bridal Veil" and "the Suitor", which are hurled from dizzying heights to shatter the surface of the dark fjord. Homesteads are a continued presence on the steep sides of the mountains, where farms have been kept for centuries. The ferry tour between Hellesylt and Geiranger takes about an hour, and the ferry has orchestra seating to augment your view of the natural panorama and cultural relics as you pass. Take in some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway from the sun deck, or while you enjoy a great-tasting meal in the lounge.
Fjord1 and Flåm AS have merged the fjord-based tourist operations in a new joint venture named The Fjords.
