The bird sanctuary at Runde

At Runde you will find the biggest and southernmost bird sanctuary in Norway. Follow the foothpaths up to the sanctuary or join one of the local boat trips from the harbour at Runde.

There is a comfortable boatservice from Skateflukaia in Ålesund to Hareid (25 min). From there a coach service passing throug the small town of Ulsteinvik wellknown for it’s shipyards. The coach carries on to the fishings village of Fosnavåg where you have to change for Runde.

Your return journey has to follow the same route.
