About Fjord1

Fjord1 Nordvestlandske AS was founded in Florø may 9th 2001 after a merger between Fylkesbaatane in Sogn og Fjordane AS and Møre og Romsdal Fylkesbåtar AS.

Fjord1 Nordvestlandske AS is the parent company in the transport corporation Fjord1, a transport corporation with extensive activities at sea and land in large parts of Norway. Fjord1 Nordvestlandske AS is owned by Sogn og Fjordane county municipality (59%) and Møre og Romsdal county (41%) and has its main office in Florø.

The activity is organized into four business areas, the sea, buses, goods and land service, and it is run through 7 subsidiary companies; Fjord1 Fylkesbaatane AS, Fjord1 MRF AS., Fjord1 Bus Møre AS, Fjord1 Transport AS., Fjord1 Nordfjord-Ottadalen AS, Fjord1 Sogn Billag AS and Fjord1 Service AS. In addition there are the underlying companies and ownership interest in a number of other companies.
